I feel incredibly grateful this Father’s Day.I was fortunate enough to be raised by an extremely talented man, Tom Pope. Dad worked hard to build Studio to where we are today. He started it all out of his garage in our backyard in 1980 and then grew it all while raising three kids and playing in an old-school R&B band – Continental Divide.

My childhood was filled with Dad’s creative genius – his animated elves, sawdust, glitter, faux gift wrapped packages, and medleys by Billy Stewart and Teddy Pendergrass. And yet he still had a way of making everything seem so simple – from the way he played the guitar so effortlessly to how he made an idea come to life. “No Problem” was Studio’s slogan – Dad’s motto – in the 80’s.

I blinked my eyes, and now I have a beautiful wife and two kids of my own. I find myself saying the same things to my daughters that my father used to say to me. It’s funny how that happens.

This is the first Father’s Day that I will not be able to share with my pop. As hard as that is, I’m extremely grateful to have experienced his creativity and inspiration as well as all the time we spent together.
