Mother and daughter: Lori Pope Rosso & Lucille Jean Rosso

This is definitely a year of firsts. Not only when I think of all the special occasions we are experiencing for the first time without dad, but also this is the first year that I am actually a mother.

This Mother’s Day is very special for me as I gave birth to my little girl – Lucille Jean Rosso – on April 12, 2017. I have never held so much love in my heart and soul as I do for this amazing, little person.

This year in particular Mother’s Day makes me reflect on how incredible my mother is. Most of the time I speak a lot about my father – his presence, his talents and ethics as the back bone of Studio. But, truth be told, my father was who he was because of the support and complement of my mother – Terry Pope. If it wasn’t for my mother’s unconditional love and support of my dad, pushing him to make bold business decisions, and always listening to his needs and wants, none of us at Studio would be where we are. It was always Tom and Terry – they did everything together in life. They worked hard and played hard together. They were an amazing team – an epic love story – and the best of friends.

My mom is a woman who embodies everything I want to be when I grow up. She has always been passionate, honest, hardworking, family oriented, and supportive. Simply put – Terry Pope is just inspiring to me. My only hope this Mother’s Day is for my mom to feel the love of her children and grandchildren – and not feel alone – because she is surrounded by love.

To all of you mothers out there – I wish you a very Happy Mother’s Day! I honestly don’t know how you do it – seriously, I still haven’t figured out life with this new little person who depends on you for everything. Being a mother is the most rewarding thing in life, but it is the hardest job I have ever had – and I was a high school teacher out of college!

All of you mothers out there enjoy this weekend – take some time for yourself, and hold your kids tight. Time goes by so fast, children grow like weeds, and life is just too busy.

Find time to sit back, relax, and smile. Happy Mother’s Day!
