Get Out and Explore Onslow County’s Natural Beauty

The recently opened Discover Onslow exhibit celebrates the beauty and diversity of Onslow County’s natural environment. Located in the new Sneads Ferry Public Library and Environmental Education Center, the 1,100 square-foot exhibit focuses on several themes including the New River and the White Oak River, the diversity of flora and fauna found in the area, and Onslow County’s cultural and historical connections to the environment.

The exhibit also highlights opportunities for residents and visitors to participate in environmental stewardship. Key exhibit elements include murals and large-scale graphics, media interactives, taxidermy and replications, and exhibit structures. As prime exhibit contractor, Studio Displays was responsible for project management, exhibit design and engineering, graphic design, interactive development, exhibit fabrication, media integration, graphic production, artifact mounting, and installation.
